This was a VERY special wedding for me to photograph! I got to work with one of my all time favorite planners, Mayfield Events AND it became a family affair–my husband Brent was the officiant! Brent and JT have been good friends since the good old days of the early 2000s. I have known Carson for several years now from working at Balance Studio in Wichita Falls together and from just hanging out with Brent and JT! I LOVE that JT & Carson made this day exactly as they envisioned. They didn’t feel obligated to follow a certain formula or style–in fact they did things backwards…and it was perfect! They decided to have just family and a few close friends gather together at Clark Gardens in Weatherford, Texas. Their was a cocktail hour while the Bride and Groom did a first look and family portraits. After that, dinner was served and guests ate together on long tables under a gorgeous white canopy. After dinner, everyone walked into the garden for the wedding ceremony. By doing this, the ceremony was seen as a way to celebrate the day, not feel stressed out by it! I highly recommend this format to anyone looking to change up the style of their wedding! Thank you, Carson and JT for allowing my family to celebrate this day with you.
